A week to Christmas.

Is it really time to get up ?
And another day dawns bright and Sunny, Not a bad nights sleep last night, went to bed about 10.15, woke at 3.30 and then dozed until 7.30, so then made a coffee and went back to bed to watch the news on BBC 1 until 8.30 when I got up and went into the lounge.
It is very cold this morning so put on the heating and it soon warms up the house, go and have some cocoa pops for Breakfast and then settle down to watch the TV until the carer comes.

Waiting for the carer.
It is now 9.30 and still no sign of the carer, it really is not very good at the weekends as I stay in my Pyjamas until the carer comes to wash and groom me, and I do not really want to be in my Pyjamas all morning, but no matter what I say to the care company they still do not get anyone here on a regular time at weekends. I will be glad when the social services come and chat to me about Direct Payments adult social care pay me the money each month and I arrange my care and pay the carer direct.

Lots of e-mail for me.
At last the carer turns up, and "Surprise, Surprise" it is Mick, well I suppose he did turn up this time, although it is 10.20, still he gets me washed and groomed and then he is on his way, now I can get dressed and text Pauline to let her know all is OK. and now to settle down with the laptop and see who is around on facebook and also see if I have any e-mails that are NOT from some one wanting to sell me viagra, or to get me compensation for an accident ?,  or wants to pay me several thousand dollars to transfer some money into my bank account.

Portsmouth Harbour 12.10 today.
Well it is now 12.00  and I need to go round to the Tesco express and get some milk and fruit drink and I am going to get some skinless sausages to have with some hash browns and swede and carrot mash for dinner tonight as I start my new meal regime following my swallowing assessment yesterday.
It is very sunny outside but a cold chill in the air so I make sure I am wrapped up warm and off I go, it is very pleasant out in the sunshine and fresh air, but there is a lot of traffic on goldsmith avenue, all making there way into the city centre and Gunwharf. The roads are busy today as it is the last weekend before Christmas, and the trouble with Portsmouth is because it is an Island there is only 3 main routes onto the Island.  anyway as you can see from the image taken from the live webcam of Portsmouth Harbour it is a very bright day.

Smoked Haddock. one of my favourites.
Well I am back from the Tesco Express, and my son Gervase phones to see how I am, and to say that he will be coming round to see me early tomorrow as Portsmouth are Playing Southampton F.C. at Fratton park tomorrow, and it is being shown live on BBC 1 at 1.00 pm so we will watch it together, so I will look forward to that, anyway now it is time to get some lunch and today I am having smoked haddock with butter and 2 crispbread, so that will be tasty.

Oh Well it is now time to watch a couple of seasonal films on the TV before getting dinner at 6.00. so although not a very exciting day today it is nice and restful after a fairly busy week, so until tomorrow I will say Tatty Bye.
